Diet Update

Irena lost 26lbs in the last two weeks.  Amazing.  Actually 19lbs was
in one day.  :-)

I'm down 14lbs from my high of 207lbs.

First Outing With Victoria

Victoria slept through most of her first outing. We went to our favorite pizzeria in Andel in Prague 5.

Which One Is Your New Sister?

When asked, which one is your sister? Sasha guessed correctly.

Sasha first met Victoria on the 5th of November. That same day we presented Sasha with a baby of her own. A baby doll. A friend told us this was a good way to prevent Sasha from getting jealous of the time momma was going to be spending with Victoria. Sasha could have her very own baby to play with as well. I'm not sure the idea worked. She wants to play with Victoria. Actually her mothering instinct is kicking in, and its just beautiful to watch.

Victoria, 3.5kg

Sasha was 2.7kg, and was born 3 weeks early. Victoria was born 11 days early and is 3.5kg.   

Victoria - First Picture

This is the first ever picture of Victoria Brooks. She's about 4 minutes old here. They rushed her through to be weighed and checked out. Then back in to a very exhausted mum. Victoria was a VERY lucky girl. The umbillical cord was wrapped around her neck not once, but twice. The birth took a long time partly because they couldn't speed her birth along because Irena had had a c-section with Sasha 15 months prior. We had thought Irena would have a c-section again, but the doctors decided a natural birth was best. In hindsight, a c-section may have been better.

4am Monday morning at Vinohrady Hospital in Prague. Irena started her contractions 2:30am on the Sunday morning.
