A dozen mountain rescuers came out to carry an older woman down the mountain who had broken her ankle. It was easy to twist an ankle on all the rocks.

We organized a club hike at Loch Lomond in Silicon Valley and swam in the
lake for half an hour. Perfect weather. We happened upon this wood nymph as
we were walking back.

Hedonist Hike at Russian Ridge

Russian Ridge, in Silicon Valley, CA.  I called these hikes Hedonist Hikes because we brought champagne and chocolate and goodies for the pit stop.

One of my favorite hikes on the planet.  North of San Francisco, off Muir Beach, there's a steep climb that takes you cliff side, and back round to the Pelican Inn.
