The Matchmaking Institute Releases Data Just in Time for Valentine’s Day
January 23, 2013 -- /INTERNET DATING NEWSWIRE/ -- With so many options for finding love, many singles are turning to modern day matchmakers for their chance at finding “The One.” This morning the Matchmaking Institute, an international matchmaking organization and network based in New York City, released the final results of their 2013 Matchmakers Survey. The survey reveals the trends of 50,000 single people based on the answers of 300 matchmakers.
Co-founder of the Matchmaking Institute and New York City Matchmaker Lisa Clampitt weighs in on the results of the survey released today.
“One great thing about the business of love is that it’s recession proof. The matchmaking industry is thriving because the singles market is expanding and our clientele is diversifying,” says Clampitt. “Men and women, gay and straight, all different races and religions, they’re coming to us to find them love.”
Even with today’s economic hardships, singles are finding matchmakers a worthwhile investment for their love lives. Most matchmakers reported that the financial downturn had little to no impact ontheir business.
The survey results provide insight into not only the matchmaking industry but the single people searching for a healthy and loving relationship. The study shows clientele are fairly even split among men andwomen, have a diverse makeup of religious affiliation, and a growing market for racial diversity as well as for gay clients.
The Matchmaking Institute surveyed matchmakers across the globe, asking questions regarding gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, and location of their clients. Please see below for a sample of the survey results. Full results of the survey can be found here http://www.matchmakinginstitute.com/survey.
