April 22, 2015 -- /IDN/ -- Agape Match, the NYC based professional matchmaking service, announced their acquisition of Mixology, the leading LGBT matchmaking service. Agape Match acquired Mixology on March 2, 2015, and Mixology’s new leadership and operations have been run by Maria Avgitidis, CEO of Agape Match.
Mixology, who’s new headquarters have moved to NYC from its previous Washington DC home, has helped thousands of gay and lesbian couples across the country find love through their discreet dating services. VIP clients include C-Level executives, politicians, celebrities, lawyers, doctors, and successful entrepreneurs who all seek love with a level of privacy that online dating and mobile apps are unable to provide.
Agape Match, one of the most reputable matchmaking and date coaching services in the country, has catered predominantly to straight singles. As demand to match the gay and lesbian community grew within their offices, Avgitidis welcomed a natural and organic growth to open their services to those seeking for a more private, safe and preferential experience. After hiring Meghann Novinskie, a previous partner of Mixology, as their new Director of Membership, this vision became ever more realized as Mixology sought for new leadership.
“The acquisition of Mixology into the Agape Match brand will create opportunities to serve a rapidly-growing customer base. Personalized dating services and matchmaking firms have been on the rise for both straight and LGBT communities in recent years, and this accelerates our vision to helping people find love, while respecting their privacy,” says Avgitidis.
Novinskie adds, “ With the recent strides towards marriage equality nationwide, the LGBT community is conceptualizing the idea of long term partnership leading to marriage now more than ever. Our team supports their pursuits in this search more effectively than any online site or dating app.”
The acquisition has meant that the client to client business model of Mixology has changed. Since March, Mixology has adopted the Agape Match model of matchmaking, client to member, which has proven to be more effective in terms of dating experience.
Avgitidis explains, “The client should not be limited to a pool of individuals who felt like making a proactive investment in their dating life at the exact same time. We allow singles to sign up as members into our database to be considered as potential matches for our existing clients. It grows the search pool to more effectively match the client. The One is out there. We can find them!”
