GIGA OM -- Apr 16 -- Korean social-network juggernaut Cyworld (division of mobile wireless provider SK Communications) has opened an office in San Francisco. The service has reached saturation among young South Koreans. Cyworld's look and feel is very attractive, whereas MySpace pages are often eye-numbingly awful. Cyworld reportedly earning $12 million on revenue of $110 million. Users are given a 'room' which they can then decorate with grahics of furniture, art, music and other personal touches, bought in in virtual shekels (purchased via debit, credit, a users mobile account or prepaid gift cards.
