Mark Brooks: Locking up major channels with big name media is a winning strategy for the long term...and for improving conversions in the short term. Users like to see these kinds of alliances. It makes them feel more warm and fuzzy about parting with their pounds. Another A1 distribution deal for Dating Direct. Match has been very strong with this kind of business development distribution deal in the past.
Hitwise reports datingdirect has a lot of traffic, but the session time is 1/10th everyone elses and pageviews are non existant. If you rank the dating sites in the UK by a combination of Pageviews/Visitors/Session time Datingdirect doesn't even show up in the top 20.

I'm listing UK rankings at www.onlinepersonalsrankings.com now. Nielsen//Netratings shows Match, Yahoo and Loopylove as the leaders. Hitwise shows Gaydar, Loopylove, Datingdirect and Match as the leaders. Each rankings company has their own panel/sampling methodology.
