Great post. Pretty funny. It seems even the "oldest profession" has moved online.

I think the comments in the article only represents the decline of brothels, not prostitution. The brothel owners are probably not technologically up to date, so they don't understand whats happening. It would be interesting to see the statistics on escort advertising sites? Are hits for those sites rising dramatically year-over-year?

Much like the brothels, many magazines that depended on ads from prostitutes have gone under because their clients are searching for prostitutes online. I think it's not a matter of "free vs charged" but a matter of having more privacy and protection by staying home, and by not having to lurk out into a more public venue like brothels. Consequently, the money is shifting from the Madams to the website owners.
