Their numbers don't add up. For example, our website at Manhunt.net is #131 in time spent per member by their calculation, and the average member spends 33:08 minutes per visit on our site. Compare to PlentyOfFish at #73 rank, and the average member spends 15:44 minutes on PlentyOfFish site. Or Match.com's (rank #31) average member spends 13:32 minutes on that site. It seems the higher the rank, the less time spent on the site, the reverse of what you should expect.

That is because you aren't taking visitors into account. Obviously a site with 1000 visitors who spend 20 hours a day isn't going to outrank a site with 1 million visitors a day who spend 10 minutes online.

Thanks for the translation, Markus, but I find no clear, concise definition from Compete as to what they are measuring. You are a techie, and therefore a better reader of the minds of other techies.
