That quoted clip which is the summary statement at the beginning of the article is incorrect. The article states that Match has 1.7 million boomers out of a total membership of 15 million. And of course, Match's PAID membershop is around 1.3 million, so if every one of those 1.3 million are boomers, still, .4 million haven't ponied up yet. From the January 29, 2007, article in the Wall Street Journal, "At Match, 23 percent of subscribers are over 50, more than double the number two years ago."

Here are the demographics of POF, Lavalife and Match according to Quantcast...

These stats look off for Lavalife. They seem to have an over representation for the 35-54 age range, but are under represented for the 18-34 age range. I'm talking with Quantcast later today to clarify on how to read their numbers.
