AHN -- June 26 -- In a bid to attract only the best people, an online dating site in Arizona has decided to publish the pictures of only attractive people. The decision, says site owner Allena Brown, was prompted by pictures by a man in flannel underwear holding an axe. The Beautiful People Arizona, has about 300 vetted members who pay $9.99 a month. The us.beautifulpeople.net site used the same method to phase out inappropriate people and pictures.

Is the attraction to these sites the mystery? At this juncture in the development of the online dating industry moderately hard to start a general non-niche site. However, we are seeing more and more sites that appeal to people’s libidinal drives like money and beauty. I look at sites like these and although I am not on the market, I always have the question in the back of my head, what’s inside? Also many people wonder if they would be accepted. Its like going to a NYC club where the bouncers screen on looks and style. I think this is part of the attraction to these sites.
