THE NEW YORK TIMES -- Oct 30 -- 50 million U.S. people have a disability but there are few ways for advertisers to reach them. Disaboom.com (live Oct 1, went public in May on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board securities market) hopes to change this. Netflix, Johnson & Johnson and Avis have signed ad deals. Disaboom paid DATA Inc., $280k to design the site, and also acquired lovebyrd.com, a dating Web site for people with disabilities, to fold into Disaboom. At the end of June, the company listed $2.2 million in cash.
