NEWSDAY -- May 27 -- A Nassau County legislator proposed a bill Wednesday aimed at barring convicted sex offenders on probation from having computer access to social Web sites where they could prey on youngsters. Sex offenders who used a computer in their crime could be required to register their computers with the county and allow the installation of monitoring software as a condition of probation.
