WLD BLOG -- July 2 -- There are still people out there that would rather seek friendship in the hope that it turns into more. Friendsormates.com, friendsofyours.com and ukfriendsdating.co.uk are examples of sites that approach dating in a much more subtile way - focusing on the friendship aspect, trying to match people with people who have similar interests and hobbies.
I definitely like the idea that friendship first would be awesome. I just worry that as a 29 year old girl, I need dig right in and go for it from the start. It's harder to risk that much as you get older but I guess you need to.

This is virtually one of the founding ideas of online dating. It was our aproach 8 years ago when we started MakeFriendsOnline.com, and then there's loveandfriends.com that's been around for even longer.
We have countless people that met on MFO, got married, and remain there for the social life. This approach definitely works.
