EHARMONY BLOG - Mar 14 - eHarmony Marriage now redirects to eHarmony Advice. Offering an online alternative to marriage counseling was an innovative idea, but it never flew or impressed the company’s then-new VC shareholders. It was launched on February 6, 2006. In late November 2009, the site quietly removed the link to it from its pages. Starting yesterday, the subdomain for it is gone.
The full article was originally published at eHarmony blog, but is no longer available.
I think the eHarmony Marriage site was a good idea actually - with over one third of couples seperating a site dedicated to helping married couples should help someone

Does anyone have the 'scoop' on why eHarmony Marriage failed?

Perhaps the brains behind eHarmony had discovered persons who are in miserable marriages do not want to receive marriage counseling, they want to get the divorce or stay in their "facade marriages" and have affairs.

Interesting thoughts, Fernando. Do you have any anecdotal or research to back up your thoughts? ;-)

Hi Barb!
Not yet, because I could not administer Truth Serum to the Research Team at eHarmony Labs.
If you can contact Drs. Gonzaga and Carter and ask them why eHarmony had shut down "eHarmony Marriage", it would be great.
Also please ask:
* Why eHarmony -intended for serious daters- is a 10 (ten) years old site, but they could not substantiate eHarmony's matching method with a peer reviewed credible Scientific Paper for public and Academic scrutiny of findings yet?
* Which is the success rate of eHarmony? Less than 10%? The majority, over 90% of its members are not going to achieve a long term relationship with commitment (or marriage) using eHarmony.

Barb Barb Barb, stop baiting poor Fernando;)
Mind you, he did come back with a witty line, which is a first!
Fernando, do you have any photos where you are smiling?
