PR WEB - June 10 - iLikeYou is a free iPhone app that gives its users the opportunity to say "I like you" to someone without them ever finding out, unless they also feel the same way. iLikeYou uses a location awareness system to connect users who are close enough to see each other, but may not yet be ready to make the first move. When two iLikeYou users are in the same vicinity, each will see a small picture of the other on their iPhone screen. Aside from that image, the identity of the other user is completely private. Touching the picture will bring up an option to send an "iLikeYou" to the iLikeYou server for the person in question. The server checks for a matching "iLikeYou", and if one is found both users are informed they like each other--the ice is broken and a conversation can begin. FULL ARTICLE @ PR WEB
Or you could just smile at them, or even say hello.
Like all these applications, it's just a solution looking for a problem.

Courting is already getting large in the mobile and virtual world. Money can really do a lot of things same as technology. Well, this application may help geeks find their soulmate at least.

This concept is not a real new concept. It is quite close to the one proposed by Easyflirt.com's speedflirt. This tool is not geolocated on easyflirt but it was implemented a long time ago on this site ...

Agree with Gordon. It's not free, and replicates features on Foursquare, Brightkite, Loopt, Gowalla, etc. In short, lots of site with millions of users already offer this and even some new upstarts like urbansignals.net. Fun idea though, but never going to get the traction required to go viral unless there is some serious marketing spend.

Gordon: The whole point of the app is that some people can't get the courage up to smile or say hello so it is, in fact, a solution to a problem.
so flirt: That easyflirt.com site isn't mobile, and doesn't use geolocation, so how is it the same concept?
Datinginsider: It is free, and only has one feature, which is saying "I Like You" to someone anonymously. None of those other apps you mention have that feature.
