This to me is the very point of chating and getting to know each other first. The net does help with openness and frankness as one has the anonymity of hiding behind the pc before actually meeting. This allows a more open and frank discussion without the social graces that often cloud face to face meetings. By getting to know each other we may find that mutual interests are the attraction or that opposite qualities that compliment our own strengths or weaknesses. The point being it is us that will ultimately make the decision after truly getting to know each other.
