The next question, who will take over the Match.com stewardship? Mandy Ginsberg perhaps? She's the GM North America, and has done a great job growing Chemistry.com into its market leading position, and growing Match.com to its all time high revenues.

Mark, who is Chemistry.com leading in its market? It's not eHarmony.com, which is much larger.

So, are you not including eHarmony in the same category? If you are, Chemistry.com can hardly be the leader in its market, can it?;-)

It depends who's numbers you're looking at.

According to Hitwise for April 2010, Chemistry had 2.48% of the market share if unique visits to dating sites. eHarmony had 2.35% share, and PerfectMatch had .19%.

Granted, these numbers are date. I wish I had a full Hitwise or comScore membership. But lets look what Compete has to say...

eHarmony is no.1, and Chemistry is no.2 according to Compete.com as at 12/7/10.

Chemistry.com deserves the moniker of 'marketing leading position.' Its not THE marketing leading position, perhaps, but is A marketing leading position. :-)
