TIMES SQUARE CHRONICLES - Mar 15 - Christina Bloom is the founder of Findyourfacemate.com, a new dating site that says we want a partner who looks like us. It’s based upon the fact that successful relationships are a combination of chemistry and compatibility. FYFM employs the latest scientific data and sophisticated facial recognition software, including a complex algorithm to identify potential partners to support the theory that chemistry ignites when we see someone whose facial features are similar to our own. It surely can initiate sparks flying, maybe for life, maybe not.

Something new? Facial feature based matchmaking. Hmmm. Sounds a bit contrived really.

The science behind that kind of physical attraction is good. Furthermore, it's likely that similarity of facial features predicts personality similarity, which tends to help long-term relationships. However, most people probably are turned off by the idea of consciously picking a mate who looks like a family member.

A girl that looks like me? I feel sorry for her.

I think its true because I have noticed that all the guys I have ever dated have always looked sort of like me. I noticed this patterned with my brother, my sister, my parents, my grandparents, and my friends as well. I think its a great idea to finally have a dating website to help with this.

Unless you can't find a girlfriend or boyfriend after 5 years or so. My guess is you will do whatever it takes!

Thank you Randi. Now we just have to get more people to the site to make better matches!
