OC REGISTER - July 18 - In January, Mark Brooks, a national consultant to Internet dating sites, asked executives from many dating sites to talk about the impact they were having on society. Among the conclusions: In 20 years, people will want to go to the Internet to find a permanent partner and not rely on a chance "real meeting." Last year, Brooks estimates that Americans alone spent $1.7B trying to connect.
