If this idea were mainstream, it would lose it's appeal. It's a novel approach that should be a pleasant and fun surprise for recipients, rather than hum-drum.

I'm surprised at the success, but subscription based services can make money. The more I think about it, I feel these products appeal to women more, who might not have business cards, and are more protective of their safety around strange men.
