JONGEREN BLOG - Sep 19 - According to a research by Dutch market research company Gallup.nl 21% of Dutch has found a relationship through an online dating site. Lexa.nl, the top dating site in the Netherlands, is responsible for 35,000 dates a week. 1 of the 2 respondents know someone who met her/his partner online.

More and more people are now relying on social media to find true happiness. This is ironic since the internet is as superficial as it can be, but hey, if it works for them, I’m glad. The Dutch would just need to secure themselves as they might fall as victim of cyber crimes since they rely too much on the internet.

This just proves yet again that internet dating is the future of the way people will meet. In my honest opinion, within a decade, the majority, not the minority of people will connect through the internet.
