PRESS RELEASE - Sep 10 - iovation, the Device Reputation Authority protecting online businesses from fraud and abuse, now tracks the online behavior of ~1 billion devices. According to iovation, Linux devices have the highest % of fraudulent transactions originating from them. “Interestingly, we found that 2.3% of all transactions from Linux-based machines, 1.4% of all transactions from Windows machines and 1% of all transactions from Macs were fraudulent,” said Scott Waddell, VP of Technology at iovation. The billion devices that iovation tracks include everything from desktops to laptops, mobile phones to tablets, and handheld gaming devices to gaming consoles and smart TVs.
