be2 and c-date required faxes to cancel their memberships in Europe. Most dating sites require a call-in. I think the gold standard should be that users are able to cancel their memberships within 3 clicks of the home page.

Not sure if Match still does this, but in the US when logged in, you need to retype your password in order to access your payment details page. Obviously this is a pain in the ass for folks who auto-login to Match and/or have forgotten their password. Match claims that this is done for "security" reasons, but I can't help but wonder if the intent is to create barriers that make it challenging to cancel your membership. If so, very lame...
