iovation Finds Large Increase In Online Daters Using Mobile Devices

IOVATION - Feb 12 - iovation, the provider of device reputation protection against online fraud and abuse, revealed today that 15% of all transactions and activities it protected on dating sites originated from mobile devices in 2012, a 65% increase from 2011. In 2012, iovation found that 0.3% of all activity on online dating sites conducted from mobile devices was fraudulent, compared to 1.36% from desktop computers and laptops. The most used mobile devices for fraud were:

1. Android - 27% of all mobile fraud
2. iPads - 27% of all mobile fraud
3. iPhones - 23% of all mobile fraud
4. BlackBerry - 13% of all mobile fraud
