MIRROR.CO.UK - Feb 6 - In his assessment of GirlsDateForFree.com, supposed expert Robert Bailey wrote: "Wherever there is a lot of women, men will follow. Bailey gave GirlsDateForFree 3 stars on the review site leadingdatingsites.co.uk, which said: "We've researched in depth the best and most used dating websites in UK." According to leadingdatingsites, Bailey is one of the top opinion makers in the media and has been researching online dating since 2007. But it turns out he is as fake as some of the people apparently seeking love online. The picture of Robert Bailey which leadingdatingsites.co.uk uses is in fact David Burnett, a former law student at Sydney University in Australia who died in an accident in 2008. Leadingdatingsites suddenly removed the pictures of Robert Bailey. It replaced the shots with ones of Henning Wiechers, the CEO of Metaflake, the German company which owns the website.

Hi, I'm Henning Wiechers, CEO of metaflake. I would like to apologize for the "Robert Bailey" confusion. We operate in many countries and started UK very late. Ryan is doing the testing and translation for us. You can meet him on the idate party in Cologne. He's real! But his main job makes it impossible for him to appear as online dating expert in public so we created this pseudonym for him to go through the first few months until he has cancelled his old job. Like book authors do... Then we published a little europe-wide press release and - whyever - every single English journalist wanted to have a chat with Robert Bailey. Of course we immediatelly replaced this fake guy in this situation and I took over the responsability for our UK site: http://www.leadingdatingsites.co.uk/media.htm
