NY POST - Feb 9 - Lisa Clampitt is the founder of Club VIP Life, a matchmaking firm, where male clients pay $15K to find the perfect mate. Females can join for free. In 2005, there were 1,2K matchmakers; now there are ~ 3K, according to Clampitt and the industry shows no signs of slowing. Marketdata Enterprises predicts the industry will grow ~5% annually this year and will be $2.54B industry by 2015. Clampitt expanded her business by opening her matchmaking school in 2003. It’s licensed by the state Education Department; however, training is not required to start a matchmaking business.
