This is a hot issue across sites like Manhunt, Grindr and Gaydar. I think the best approach is to easily allow test results to be shared, and clearly show the last test date. Still, the best approach in a new monogamous relationship is to stay protected until 6 months has passed and another test has been taken. Testing is the 1st step, and like mentioned by Mark Brooks in previous comment again in 6 months. Our results were negative. The initial scare has been a "wake-up call" for both of us. We may do another test in the future just to be extra sure and peace of mind. We bought test kits online to keep our privacy, but going to a clinic is also a good way to get tested. And with ACA most individual health insurance do cover the tests, however we did not want to file with our insurance company. My partner and I want to stay clean. Research your options and see what works for you. This is the place we ultimately ended up Test Options
Love to hear other's stories and tests they liked. With today's advances things seem to constantly change and get better.
