THE ECONOMIC TIMES - July 22 - Globally, Tinder is perceived as a 'hook -up' app. "There are a lot more human connections. People have dated, gotten married, formed a music band, moved to new cities and found friends using Tinder. We have all those stories," says Taru Kapoor, Tinder India CEO. Tinder data suggests that ~85% users in US are interested in long-term relationships. Conversations last 2-7 days before people decide to meet for ~95% users. "That is not a 'hook-up' app," she says. It is about how a user chooses to engage with the platform. There are no guarantees you are going to find true love through Tinder. As Kapoor sums it up, "There is no algorithm for chemistry."
