Tinder, a Match Group app, will begin training Colombian police on using its crime reporting tools. Despite these efforts, experts and victims argue that dating apps still place too much safety responsibility on users. The city, an epicenter for such crimes, has seen a spike in tourist deaths, with many cases connected to app interactions. Tinder's initiatives, including in-app warnings and user verification, aim to mitigate risks, but calls for more comprehensive safety measures persist.
