Paul's events cost singles anywhere between $35 and $100, and they need to get a referral (by a current customer) to get in. She's picky and exclusive, but the group of singles who have joined Mint Experience, her matchmaking service, also have high standards, Paul said. And at the end of the evening, attendees who are still too shy or unsure about asking anyone for a date, or even a phone number, can try instead to pursue the object of their desires by signing up for a future Mint Experience dinner party.
