HUFFINGTON POST - Apr 2 - Kirsten Fitzpatrick doesn't know when her husband is mad, sad, frustrated or irritated unless he specifically says so. She's unable to process the body language cues, so the couple must practice very clear-cut verbal communication. She was diagnosed with autism in her 30s. Her 18-year-old daughter, Olivia Cantu, is also on the autism spectrum. Cantu has experienced social difficulties just like her mother. So they launched Spectrum Singles, a dating site for people on the spectrum. The site has a Spectrum Compatibility Test (SCT) which is a 184-question test that asks about social preferences, sensory tolerance or intolerance, and views on sex and physical affection.
