LAWSTREET MEDIA – Apr 30 – On Monday, Judge Beth Labson Freeman of the Northern District of California issued an order granting Facebook's motion to dismiss the antitrust lawsuit brought against it filed by three web developers – Reveal Chat Holdco, USA Technology and Management Services, and Beehive Biometric – finding the plaintiffs' claims time-barred. Facebook was sued for "removing access to a set of APIs in 2015 that Plaintiffs relied on for their mobile apps."

DAILYMAIL.CO.UK – Dec 25 – Reveal, a new dating app has launched in the UK that aims to put women in complete control by allowing only them to browse and swipe – anonymously. This guarantees genuine matches by preventing men from liking every profile to 'play a numbers game' – which research suggests as many as a third do. Reveal's layout is similar to the likes of Tinder and Bumble. The woman browses photos and if she's interested, she swipes right – if not, she swipes left. It is free to use and its inventors plan to make money from advertising.
