VEGCONOMIST – Feb 12 – Veggly, the dating app for vegans and vegetarians, is celebrating over a million 'Veg-Matches' and predicts this number will surpass 2M by mid 2021. The founders of the app also reveals that the platform now has ~300K users around the world.
The Majority of Vegan Daters Would Refuse to Date a Meat Eater
PLANT BASED NEWS – Jan 6 – The polling by Veggly, the world's leading dating app for vegans and vegetarians, quizzed 7,400 users across the world. It revealed that 52% of vegan daters would not consider entering a relationship with a meat-eater. On top of that, ~12% would refuse to date a vegetarian, due to their intake of animal products.

PR NEWSWIRE – Mar 5 – The number of people using Veggly has increased fivefold since mid-2019, with ~100K users now. Alex Felipelli, Veggly's founder and CEO, designed the app to facilitate friendships, flirting and short- and long-term relationships among vegans and vegetarians, who often face challenges forming lasting romantic connections with omnivores. Veggly, which launched in 2018, is available in English, Danish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, with Polish scheduled to be available this year. 53% percent of users are female and 47% are male. 58% of users are vegan, 28% are vegetarian and 14% identify as in transition. The largest age group active on Veggly is 25-34 years old.
